Security at Kanume
Last updated: June 27, 2026
Kanume is an AI-native platform for brand partnerships. This page is maintained by Kanume LLC to answer common security and privacy questions about how Kanume handles the data you share with us.
Data you share with Kanume
Kanume works from the brand context you provide — category, audience, goals, tone, and any partner brands you want us to consider. We don't ask for CRM exports, data warehouse connections, or customer PII to generate a report.
Hosting and infrastructure
Kanume runs on modern managed cloud infrastructure. Traffic between your browser and Kanume is encrypted in transit using TLS. Data at rest is stored in our managed database provider with encryption enabled by default.
Access controls
- Access to your reports is scoped to your workspace.
- Only Kanume employees who need access to support or operate the service can reach production systems, and access is authenticated.
- Credentials for third-party services (such as AI providers) are stored as server-side secrets, not exposed to the browser.
Subprocessors
Kanume uses a small set of trusted subprocessors to run the service — including our cloud host, database provider, AI model providers, and email/analytics tooling. If you need the current list for a vendor review, email security@kanume.com.
Retention and deletion
You can delete reports and account data on request. Email security@kanume.com from your account email and we'll process the request. Backups roll off on our provider's standard retention schedule.
What Kanume does not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use content you submit to Kanume to train third-party foundation models.
- We do not claim SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA compliance today. If your procurement process requires one of these, contact us — we're happy to talk about roadmap and timing.
Shared responsibility
Security is shared between Kanume and you. Kanume protects the platform and the data you share with us. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials private, granting workspace access only to people who should have it, and choosing what brand information to submit.
Reporting a vulnerability
If you believe you've found a security issue, please email security@kanume.com with details and steps to reproduce. We'll acknowledge your report and work with you on a fix. Please don't publicly disclose the issue until we've had a chance to address it.
